Seminole Golf Club: Pure Golf on Florida’s Atlantic Coast

Seminole Golf Club. Coming down Seminole Boulevard and making that left turn into what appears to be an elegant home is the start of the purest golf on the shores of the Atlantic. Think of a great beach with beautiful sand and a little rolling valley (it is Florida), dunes perched on the edges of the property where you play up the sand ridges to tilted and heavily guarded greens and then tee off down the ridges to lush fairways that put a premium in placement so you can have a crack at finding that perfect sliver of green that gives you a good scoring opportunity. Seminole has a couple of defenses; green complexes and the wind. You can feel and figure out the wind. The greens are diabolical and challenging to say the least.

The classy "old" Florida atmosphere is evident; everyone is very gracious and welcoming. The caddies are full of clever one-liners and sage advice. A common heard phrase...."hit it in the middle of the green".
